Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master the talented storyteller has kept fans guessing with rich lore, a colorful mix of characters, and a thrilling plot including celestial beings, demons, and sinister influences growing in power within the city.
Heads-up: Key plot points for Episode 3 of this adventure are included.
The Soldiers Table Revealed
The latest chapter ended with a dramatic pause and presented the first table of heroes who will branch out from the central cast to undertake their own adventure, distinct from the additional parties.
This warrior group includes Teor Pridesire (brought to life by the voice actor), Thimble (the talented performer), the fierce warrior (Whitney Moore), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).
The Reason for Division
Given 13 cast members, it was evident from the outset that maintaining everyone at a single group would be unfeasible.
This explains, the initial installments of this story serve as an Introduction, connecting the individual narratives before splitting into three separate parties: Soldiers, Strategists, and Questers.
Characteristics of the Combat Party
Per the Dungeon Master, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who enjoy a typically action-packed battle-oriented story mode where diplomatic options are few and far between.
Initially, figures such as the squeamish cleric the cleric might appear mismatched, but the actions of episode 3 make it clear why these specific adventurers are ideally matched for the combat party.
Why They Must Go
For one thing, the group understands precisely where to proceed after a violent opening clash with The Crow Keepers.
A former ally of the deceased character—whose demise kicked off the story’s plot—exploited The Crow Keepers for his selfish purposes, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, attacking the character, and taking all the enchanted items to auction.
Casimir then paid off his debts and fled to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, north of the urban center, with Cyd Pridesire pursuing him.
Individual Reasons
Additionally, each character has a specific drive to exit the metropolitan area:
- The agile hero, as the companion and closest confidant, desires vengeance.
- The adventurer knows Timmony and cautions that it is a hostile location.
- Tyranny and The healer, having resisted his relatives’ demands to execute the fighter and instead saved him, have no other options.
- But, their reputation as prominent individuals in the influential clan could help the party enter places they usually can’t.
- Furthermore, The grateful character pledged a eternal obligation to The savior for his deliverance and will now accompany him everywhere.
Fugitives
In addition, all of them are hunted by the authorities that control the city for a range of causes, making staying in the city dangerous:
- The agile adventurer and The hero are notorious outlaws.
- The strong figure and The healer turned against House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are partnered with.
- Teor is targeted for elimination by the clan.
This means them few options but to journey toward the remote area in quest for the antagonist.
