I'll dominate 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really happening.
